Pat’s Vegetable Marinade

Pat’s Vegetable Marinade

A great appetizer for dipping broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, etc.

Ingredients
  

For the marinade

3 stalks celery chopped

1 cup sugar

2 tsp dry mustard

1 tsp salt

1/2 cup vinegar

1 1/2 cups vegetable oil

1 small onion grated

2 tbsps. poppy seeds

For the Vegetables
1 small head of cauiiflower cut into dippable pieces

1 or 2 heads of broccoli cut into dippable pieces

! small bag of mini-carrots or carrots cut into sticks

1 or 2 red, yellow or orange bell peppers cut into strips

I sometimes steam these to tender-crisp

Equipment

  • 1 medium bowl

Instructions
    Combine all marinade ingredients.

    Put the vegetables into a large bowl and add the marinade.

    Let them sit for at least 3 hours.
